NB Genetics was founded in 2014 by Nick Boshammer, who wanted to prove that beef production can be improved through a more efficient supply chain.
NB Genetics is owned and operated by Nick and Kate Boshammer near Chinchilla in the Western Downs Region, Queensland.
Nick shares a strong passion and dedication for improving beef quality, and is a second generation Angus bull breeder. His family will hold the 33rd Sandon Glenoch Angus annual bull sale in August, 2024.
He is a sustainable beef enthusiast who studied a Diploma of Agribusiness at Marcus Oldham College before furthering his studies at Kansas State University, regarded as a leading agricultural university in the USA.
Nick knows what sets productive cattle apart from the rest. Whilst in the US, Nick was involved in animal production, feeding and nutrition, sales and marketing, and meat science classes. He was lucky enough to meet with some of the best experts and professors in the Angus Beef world and visit various operations which allowed a great insight into their programs and production systems.
It was during Nick's travels through Southern and Western Kansas that he visited Gardiner Angus Ranch that he found exactly what he was searching for - an operation that was bringing maximum value to their clients. After visiting and working in feed yards that were using Gardiner genetics, Nick was reassured to see these genetics outperforming all other cattle within the same feed yard, regardless of breed.
Kate grew up on her parents beef property outside of Warialda, NSW and is a 4th generation beef producer. She holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Marketing) and is passionate about encouraging vibrancy and growth in regional Australia. After spending over a decade working in PR and Marketing on multi-million dollar brands in Brisbane, Sydney and Tamworth, she is now a freelance Marketing and PR specialist.
Together Nick and Kate form a talented team as sustainable land managers and successful stud operators with NBG genetics highly sought after by stud and commercial producers throughout Australia.
Nick and Kate's dedication to their business and land, together with an acute awareness of the welfare of the livestock in their care, enables them to achieve outstanding results for their clients.
