INTRODUCING NBGEN NUERA BULLS

Our focus has always been simple: breeding cattle that leave more profit in the hands of commercial producers.

The NuEra program was developed with that objective in mind. Backed by more than 20 years of feed intake and performance data collected by ABS, NuEra genetics have been selected to identify cattle that convert feed into kilograms efficiently, grow rapidly and produce consistent, high-yielding carcases.

For commercial operations, that means cattle with the potential to reach market specifications sooner, make better use of available feed resources and deliver greater value throughout the supply chain.

Through our partnership with ABS, we are proud to offer NuEra genetics to Australian producers. These bulls have been purpose-bred as terminal sires, selected specifically for commercial performance, growth and carcase merit.

If your objective is faster turnoff, heavier sale weights and cattle that are paid on kilograms and yield, NuEra bulls are designed for exactly that.

WHAT IS NUERA T14?

NuEra T14 is a data-driven Angus terminal line developed by ABS in the USA, designed to maximise growth, feed efficiency and carcase value.

Unlike traditional selection, NuEra bulls are chosen using millions of data points from feed intake, growth, fertility and carcase outcomes, not just pedigree or visual appraisal.

What this means on farm:

  • Faster finishing cattle

  • More consistent kill sheets

  • Better feed efficiency in tough seasons

  • Ideal for terminal programs (keep your cows, sell better calves)

NuEra bulls are designed as terminal sires, to produce calves that grow faster, finish earlier and hit specs more consistently.

HOW TO USE NUERA T14 BULLS

NuEra genetics were developed as a terminal line, with the sole aim of improving bottom-line results for producers. They’re best used over a sound, fertile cow herd where all progeny are marketed. The result is calves that grow, finish and meet market specs, while letting your maternal base stay exactly that - maternal.

PROVEN RESULTS

At weaning, our 2025-drop NuEra calves averaged 361kg, more than 60kg heavier than their contemporary Angus group, which averaged 297kg. Those Angus calves were sired by proven industry bulls including Hart Network, G A R Apex and Woodhill Comstock.

While it’s only one measure, it’s an encouraging start and gives us a glimpse of what these genetics might be capable of in a commercial setting.

What we like about these cattle is that they’re not just about adding weight. They’re designed to bring growth, efficiency and performance while still maintaining the traits commercial producers need - sound structure, fertility, docility and functionality.

These same genetics are used heavily in the US feedlot systems, and now NBGen have selected, adapted and raised these bulls for Australian conditions.

NUERA T14 BULLS ARE IDEAL FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Sell steers into feedlots, MSA or processor grids

  • Want faster turnoff

  • Are paid on weight, yield and consistency

  • Want to reduce days on feed

They may not be for you if:

  • You are selecting purely for replacements

  • You prioritise breed purity over performance
